Hey Protojeex, I guess its been awhile. Something you said about beatmatching stuck with me and motivated me to really take the art of DJing seriously, so I bought an M Audio X Session and I haven't used sync since. I still rely on the BPM counter and phase meter but less and less.
I still have my new patch that I have to upload here but since I got the X Session I haven't used the DM2, or thought about writing the documentation. But to be honest, I think that the original patch is good enough for total beginners.
Mixing with the X Session and learning better technique is giving me ideas to configure the DM2 differently. Using the warp knob in combination with the upper buttons for track selection and track loading is a great concept, so were the browser buttons below.
Now I'm using Traktor in combination with Itunes so I don't do much on the fly playlist selection anymore.
Anyways I'm going to try out the SynthBiz patch and re-examine whats possible with the DM2, now that I understand Traktor and mixing techniques a little better.
I'll be back.
Thanks for all the advice.
