Just wanted to say I'm finnishing a first concept of DM2MIDI for Live 3 .
It's quite simple, assigning functionality for 8 trax on different channels to th evarious controllers.
However this isn't the layout I'm after. ..
I will still need a few mailexchanges with PDoom in order to get my head around the nested multi-events that will achieve what I'm looking for !

Too elaborate a bit on my previous post : I'm going to try to make a template that would allow to change multiple parameters at once , just with a flick of the switch ;-) ... in the current unreleased alpha everything is very static.
Other thing I want to implement is to incorporate as many usefull keyboards shortcuts as possible within the DM2 using Bome Midi Translator.

Hey, do you think you'll be able to produce a "scratching" effect within Live3 with the DM2 turntables? There's a tutorial here that shows how to do it with your mouse (yeah right!), but I'm already used to the DM2. Best of luck! Josh

hi, how can I change in Live the tracks (slots) only with two Note Events or better with a Controller Number, like changing the scenes. I did it with a miditranslation programm (bome), but i do not like to many programs on my liveset... Carsten

Hi Carsten, I dont get all of your question, but i can tell that with Live (my version is 4) its easy to have two different sets of tracks played within one scene. Heres how: Create a scene. (strg/shift/ I) Check a button to the scene on the DM2 for midi switching. Now, select a clip and in the launch section select TOGGLE.. If the clip is already in the TOGGLE mode set it to TRIGGER. Since some of the clips are in TOGGLE, and others in the TRIGGER mode, they will play all together when you launch the scene with your button for the first time. Now, if you hit this button a second time, the scene will play only the clips that are in TRIGGER mode. The other clips in TOGGLE mode will stop playing.
Two sets of musical events with only one button...
Maybe some other users didnt check this until now, so- this is a cool thing to know... Kind regards topp

Dunno if it's worth posting here or not since the forum looks pretty quiet, but I got a DM2 set up with Ableton 7 (the M-Audio freebie, if it matters) last night and am happily crossfading away.
Using the excellent DM2MIDI program along with MIDI Yoke, the default for the DM2 fader was CC #10, so I just went into Live's MIDI settings, enabled MIDI Yoke in for remote control, and MIDI-mapped CC10 to the Live crossfader just like with any other MIDI tool.
Good times!
