efficient as in keys that have dual function (ie play/pause instead of a play button and a pause button) or tips on refining unnecessary keys. also any tips on organization such as what keys should be grouped with other keys so i don't have to switch the key profiles keeping in mind each wheel has 9 keys for each of the 4 profiles(72 total keys!). 1 thing i am having a problem with is the wheel function with the different profiles. i can get it to scratch but i want to make it so that when i change profiles i can control the pitch or volume for the respective tracks. any and all help is greatly appreciated.
edit- i don't need any xml files this is more of a open discussion of which keys are usually more used than others if that makes any sense.

well you can do it the play/pause thing on 1 button invirtual dj its not that hard it just takes a while of pushing the button for it to do it right. a better method is MidiOX and makeing you own M-map which is the best way to go. you can do the pitch or volume thing. once again you need midiox. you can do them individually but to get em all to work with the macros. Would be hard i wouldnt know where to start with that other then a MIDIOX layout.

Im a noob at all this sorry, but is there a way i can make a new note by pressing two different buttons at the same time? and i also want to change the pitch/tempo/volume by using the scratch rings aswell as using them to scratch with and was hoping if someone could explain how the four-button mode buttoons work and how do i set them up?

Well fortunately for you the dm2 is pretty easy as far as pressing 2 buttons for 1 effect thats not how the macro signals are processed so unfortunetly thats out of the question. as far as using the scratch rings for volume and what not it can be done. By using everything on multi event and running midi ox. You can use the midi ox files from a dm2 for traktor file that corporation uploaded in the traktor section of this forum. Load that up and you should b e able to use all the macro 1-4 to load up a different layout on the dm2. Then you can set the volume/pitch/ scratch all on the jog wheeels. Depending on your system you can end up with minor problems th at occur now and again.

ok so i was wrong i was able to figure out how to use the inner macro buttons so when you press 2 in conjunction you get 1 effect. also was able to get about 50 percent of the way through making the macro for virtual dj so it you can use all the full features.
