Just bought a new laptop with Vista installed I would like to use my Traktor 2 ( I like better than 3 ) but 3 would be good too, to work with my DM2.
Problem is VISTA will it work? I don't care for the DM2 Software but I don't know if the XP drivers will for for Vista or even if Traktor 2 will work on Vista would anyone have any insite?
My other option is to Partition my drive and dual boot XP and Vista, XP woudl be installed only for the purpose of the DM2, this looks like a pain in the butt too. I don't know the best route to take.
Thanks

wait so you just want to know if traktor will work. you dont use a dm2? so you just need to know if traktor 2 will work by it self.
id assume so if i can get virtual dj to install i dont see why traktor wouldnt install on vista
if you dont use a dm2 then it shouldnt be a problem
*ORIGINAL* id recommend the dual boot its what i do on all my systems. instead of editing your registry to get it to work. its really not that hard, just either make 1 hard drive have 2 partitions, or 2 hard drives have 1 it doesnt matter. then install away just make sure you have you drivers located before hand or else you wont be getting on the internet to get them. and youll be installing your modems usb drivers just to update your windows and hope it has half the drivers which it only will have a few basic ones. thats when you say to yourself why did i buy anything from best buy, proprietary bullcrap. hahahah idk but that would be your best way to go and then when it boots up it just has a screen that asks you what os youd like to load into

Try this...
1.) UNINSTALL EVERYTHING.
2.) Right click setup file and select PROPERTIES
3.) Now select COMPATIBILITY
4.) Select RUN THIS PROGRAM FOR WINDOWS XP
5.) Select RUN IN 640 X 480 SCREEN SOLUTION
6.) Run AS ADMIN
7.) Apply
Now when you start the setup the screen is going to get REALLY LARGE
DONT worry about it. Its just a one time deal. Just install like normal.
CONGRADULATIONS!!!
By the way... This Should Work With Most Vista Compatibility Issues
