Has anyone been able to switch out the 8 buttons on each "deck" to custom push button switches like they sell at radio shack? I know a lot of people mount arcade buttons in their controllers as well, basically I'm looking for a solution that allows me to get a better response from my buttons as well as adding that personal look to my device. thanks.

well you can get them more responsive. push buttons could be done. i have seen people completly remount the entire pcb boards onto there own case. (styrofoam and mineral spirits wink wink*) anything is possible.

It's not so much the responsiveness as much as it's the feel of the buttons. They just don't give a satisfying tactile response. I was reading some of the other threads on the buttons but none of them really said how they were connected to the pcb. I'm guessing it's just 2 leads for each button but i'm scared to take mine apart without some prior knowledge. If anyone knows, that information would be greatly appreciated.

I found this thread on the dj tech tools forum: www.djtechtools.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9046&highlight=mixmanIt has some good info on the guts of the dm2. I'm gonna go get some buttons this week and while I have some time try do do some work. I guess the main problem I'm gonna have is mounting the buttons, hopefully radio shack has some smallish ones. I'll try to remember to take pics as I go along so I can keep up-to-date on my progress.

Another thing, do you know what size pots this thing would accept? I'm thinking about removing the joystick at the top and replacing it with 2 pots for the eq so with the 3 profiles I can control my highs, mids, and lows, but that might be a bit over my head.
