im trying to run dm2 on vista, i got the disk to install, but when i plug the controller into the usb port, the computer crashes and give me a blue screen with all sorts of errors on it. then after a few seconds of the wretched blue screen, my computer shuts off and restarts automatically. i downloaded the updates from mixman, still nothing.
this is the stop code on the blue screen: 0x0000007E
does anyone have any advice?

Just dual boot xp with a cd rom bootable version or install xp to a thumb drive

ive installed xp to a thumb drive, now what do i do, thanks so much now if all is done right when you reboot it should ask you where you want to boot from and you would select the thumb drive and now you can run windows xp and go from there if you booting from vista or win7 it will be called "boot from earlier version of windows" that is if everything was setup correctly.

I too am having a BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH problem. I'm running Windows 7 pro (32-bit) and after fallowing some other advice posted on this site, I downloaded and installed "Windows XP mode" witch is a virtual xp simulation i guess... Downloaded all the software i needed for the process, and started to install dm2 on the XP mode OS. After running the update to make the driver's install on XP, I was able it install dm2, and me system started recognizing the dm2 controller and an "unknown device". I ran the "add device" wizard and chose to locate the drivers manually, found them and then while installing, the system crashes... Is there a way to fix this problem?? Also, I have and old iMac (one of the colored, self contained models). Can the dm2 work on Macintosh?? Reply here or E-mail me at TherinD3@Yahoo.com

seems to be to much trouble for a device like this .Why don't they just create a driver for window 7 for legacy users? The creators of the dm2 should have thought ahead.
