yep but i don't know what to do with most of the buttons. All that's working is the crossfader A & B buttons and play pause buttons.

I have finally been able to get my DM2 config'd to function (for the first time EVER in more than a year, that I've owned it) and I also am mapping it for VDJ 6.1 Most of DM2 buttons are easily mappable if you know the command to assign to it. VDJ 6 does pretty well at informing you if the command will work by displaying a short description when a correct command is entered too, BUT NOT ALWAYS. My question, and I believe the question EVANRELENTLESS is trying to ask is: What command do you enter for "Action:" when mapping "Keys: 0-CC12 & 0-CC13" <--(scratchrings) i.e. "deck 1 scratch_hold" (which doesn't work, but i know its close)
BTW - thanks for the useful info and for providing this forum, my DM2 was yay close to hittin the recycle bin. but now its actually getting used. I had to downgrade a system back to XP from 7 and now i remember why i never even considered Vista but anyway... (actually I'm pretty close to successfully creating a dualboot system) [which again]... thanks to the useful info I found here
WHAT ARE THE MAPPING VALUES FOR SCRATCH RINGS IN VDJ 6?

YES! success finally... Thanks to all the valuable info availabe in this forum my $4 DM2 is fully functional. It did take many many hours (actually,it was days) of fidlin' with it but now i can scratch, pitchbend, keychange and jog with the scratchrings. The code and .xml files (listed on other thread) are pure genious. i never would have thought of making 4 different modes. so KUDOS to you my brutha! The only function that im not entirely clear on is the EQ/crossfader toggle selection. but i just got the thing workin so I'm sure that once ive experimented a little more i'll figure it out. I do wish the platter buttons (8 buttons within the ring) were a little more responsive though. Are there any physical mods that anyone has come up with in regards to that? by the way I'm thinkin about designing a clear vinyl overlay sticker that is printed with all of the platter button functions and color coded for each mode,.. i dont know, we'll see. Anyway I've posted some frustrated comments on other threads during this whole process, so they can be disregarded now since i gott'er goin. nobody has responded to them anyway... i guess it just took a little time, investigative research and a sh!tload of patience 8:)
