Reading through these boards, I see constant references to how difficult writing the driver has been. I'm willing to take your word on that. I also appreciate that the original manufacturer has pretty much walked away from its responsibilities of writing drivers for its legacy products, which is always annoying, and a slap in the face to its customers.
So, with all that in mind, I'll just ask it directly:
What is your opinion on the feasibility of getting a working native Windows 7 64-bit driver released within the next few months? If the answer is "none", I would rather have that truth than hopeful possibilities.

well i have been gone since the new year on tour. But basically it goes like this. I would love to get a 64 bit driver. But in order to do that i would need to first create a real 32 bit driver that is compatible with windows 7. Now i feel confident i can get a working driver in 64-bit. WE have attempted it and had great success with xp. and actually had a whole side project during the development to help us with the concept of 64 bit. But right now we have a working solution for 32 bit. An we are just getting back and settled in. I have alot of emails to check between microsoft and what not about us getting a driver signature so as not to force people to test mode, etc, etc... beyond us doing this all out of pocket. The driver signature is a costly review process by microsoft. but we are hoping to get a signature that is not a test signature and that everyone will be able to use in a common/standard install of windows 7 and vista. do i have hope that we could do it the next half year. yes i think we will have a full 32 bit.
Will we have a 64-bit. Too be hones id have to say no. since in all my contacts with everyone i never really discussed a 64-bit driver signature. But that doesnt mean i wont. As the device itself was designed in a 16-bit world. Its not the easiest thing but we will get there.
Sorry it took so long for the response. was using a friends macbook for everything on the road as my laptop got coffee spilled on it a week into the new year.

hi everyone... well I just wanted to post something that came up while searching some info for a project Im doing, diggin software around, I found USBIO Demo, a program that is supposed to automate the Driver Coding procedure, I mean, as written in their website: Universal USB Development Kit for Windows 8, 7, Vista and XP... I dont know a dime about programming but I was able to change my DM2 driver state from "Unknown Device" to "Usbio Device"... and the application Demo shows a lot of config parameters wich I think can be altered somehow... After dreaming a little how to hack DM2 driver with this app, I found 2 problems... 1st: Usbio is really expensive, I mean 3K US dollars for it... possible solution, find a hacker to solve our problems, 2nd: While editing Driver values, doin it right and make it MIDI or OSC compatible, and win8 as well... ok I think this is it.... I hope somebody could check it out and let others know if its possible to hack the DM2 driver and give hope to the peoples... Bye Yall here is the website link: www.thesycon.de/eng/usbio.shtml
