after 5yrs of dm2 mixman traktor crap ive decided since i cant get it to work as perfect as i once had i beat my dm2 with a golf club then i beat it with an axe , right now its in a garbage can being burned. nothing but black smoke remains, i say we scrap that crap and all go get some of the new hardware thats availible now. i kno it cost but its less stress honestly, i had to destroy my dm3 cause for yrs i kept putting off a upgrade because i was hoping my dm2 would geta software overhall . well screw it thanks to everybody for their help.

yeah i say the same thing. after providing me with 5 years of great use, it's time to move on. I recently spent $500 on the vestax vci-100 to replace my dm2. totally worth it. it's everything i wanted the dm2 to be: Sturdy build great button layout excellent x-fader excellent jog wheels much less stress in the setup process - turn on and go. still seems like mixman doesn't support the dm2 hardware anymore (or ever did)... time to move on.

WHAT THE HELL IS THAT INSANE AMOUNT OF BUTTONS ON THE LEFT OF IT THAT CUBE THING ARE THOSE ADDITONAL TRIGGERS? it's a monome 40h. i use it to trigger samples and loops in Ableton Live, while running NI Traktor with the vci-100. it's hand built in Philly PA. limited run of 400 units. all sold out. $500. it's now fetching $1000 on ebay... i can't part with mine though. check out the website: www.monome.org

The vestax vci-100 is nice.
I just bought the axiom 61 key midi keyboard. I've set up the modulation and pitch bend to turn the turntables on fruity loops.
