I got it working with the DM2 to Midi software and Midiyoke. I'm pretty stoked about it because frankly, the DM2 software is difficult to use. For scratching with FLS, though, it is worth the $40 I paid at Circuit City.
Get and install midi yoke & dm2 to midi. You shouldn't have to mess with Midi Yoke when you are through installing it.
Open up dm2-to-midi. See the image there? Click a part of it. Do the left ring. On the left of the new box, click the three little dots "..." on the same line as "Left Ring:". Change the controller to something you'll remember. I did 17. Click okay. Click okay again. Click on the a/b buttons on the bottom (it will group all three). Next to "Fader:" click the three dots "..." Make it controller 16. Click okay once. Click the radio button for "Use A/B as buttons". Click the dots for "A button:". Make it controller 18. For "B button:" make it controller 19. Click okay to get you back to the picture of the DM2.
Now, click "options" from the top menu. Choose "Midi Settings" make Midi Out Port Midi Yoke 1 and Midi In Port Midi Yoke 8. (or whatever if you want to be a rebel). Click 'okay'. At the bottom, click the button "Channels" and make the Index 1 line Channel 16.
Save it as something in case it crashes. Don't close it, it has to be open to work with FL Studio.
Open up an FL Studio project. Make sure you don't have anything on midi channel 16 or you will smell "lockup".
Open up the mixer (F9), choose the Scratcher from the Select menu in the mixer. Right click on the turntable. Choose "Link to Controller". Change channel to 16 and Controller to 17. Now you can control the turntable with the left scratch ring of the DM2. But it won't scratch yet. You need to set the hold, first. You'll have to do this for every project, but it saves it, so you don't have to do it every time you open that project.
Right click the hold button. Link to channel 16, controller 18 (the A button). Do the same for mute (16/19, B button). Left click the volume control knob (above Hold) and link it to 16/16. Now the slider controls the volume of the turntable sound. You have to hold down the A button to "Hold", but the scratcher works pretty well. Better than the mouse, in my opinion. To have the hold button work where it's muted when it's down, instead of muted when you aren't holding it down, you might have to edit the A/B button part of the DM2 image. For button "B" (controller 19) make the On value 0 and the Off value 127.
I had to download a DM2 fix I found somewhere. I don't know if it helped. I did it before I figured out the rest of it. It may have worked anyway. Check www.dmtwo.tk for the small support board.
Hope that helps! (emazil@hansanzderszon.com) remove the z's to get the correct address.
