I've been messing with midiox for a few days trying to get it to work. Can someone post a step by step instruction guide to get buttonless scratching and winding? I would appreciate it!

I'm using MidiOx too, as I have an other Midi Controler (Hercules DJ Console) and I want MidiOx to merge the dm2 with it.
So I don't use Bome Midi Translator anymore, but I can do the same with MidiOx.
I'll write down a little "How to" when I'll be back home.

Hi there,
about MidiOx, I managed to map the dm2 controls to do a bit better than Bomes midi translator, throwing a "Scratch on" message only on the first midi scratch message, not on every midi scratch message, until the scratch off arrives.
The result is better on small moves or at the end of a move, with Bomes midi translator there was a kind of "stop before go" behaviour, a bit annoying.
You can achieve this by combining midi mappings and changes of the map by midi program changes.
A step by step instructions could be a bit hard to do... And I can't put the mapping files here because they are not text files. If there is a way to upload files (4 * 1 ko...) on the forum, or if someone there have some place on a server account that we can refer to, I can send the files.
In this case, I'll do a minimal user guide to use them (but I can't write a full tutorial for MidiOx, I don't even anderstand the third of it !!!)
So, if you care...

Hum... I made a little mistake in the MidiOx tutorial... (english mistakes apart) It is better to remove entirely MidiYoke 2 from midi routing (to avoid midi loops) He must stay in the Inputs, but not attached to the Output.
So on midiOx Configuration page, in Midi Devices, when you read : Select "Midi Yoke : 2" for Input and remove every channel (ESPECIALY channel 1!!!) except channel 3
please do this : Select "Midi Yoke : 2" for Input and REMOVE IT from Port Mapping (with the delete key on your keyboard)
In the routing check, you must see the same inputs as before, but no link between "input midi Yoke 2" and "output midi Yoke 2"
Or wait for the update of the site.
Sorry guys...

First of all, nuff respect to corporation for inviting me to register here from traktor forum. I have acquired a lot of valuable information here which favourably enhanced my craft as a laptop dj. Super big up to gaelead for dedicating so much time and energy to sharing his knowledge and expertise. I think you are a genius gaelead!!! Your step by step instructions are very useful and thanks to you, my cheap old dm2 is now more powerful than ever. It works very well with midiox as scratching is now more enjoyable due to the immediate scratch off now implemented. I have only spent about an hour with it so far but after using it, I had to come and make this post. I will give more feedback after more extended use. I really appreciate the work you guys are doing. Keep it up and once again big up to Gaelead and Corporation. One love Infinity
