Thanks, gaelead. ^_^ I don't know how to do anything with MidiOx or Bome, I barely managed to reconfigure my settings in DM2Midi and Traktor. Anyways I included two zips in my email to you, one is my ".dm2" file and the other is my ".tks" file. This is the current setting I am using and I like it alot. I would someday like to see a mode in which both decks are muted and depending on a button press either forward or backward wheel rotation is audible. It would make a really nifty cut up sound. Check out my idea here for backward/foreward scratch mute mode here dm2.proboards23.com/index.cgi?board=traktor&action=display&thread=1109820729.

Have you done what is explained here for use with Traktor 2.6 ? www.nativeinstruments.de/traktor_forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=38865#post38865You have to download the new oxm mapping files and UNcheck the "4control" mode for each scratch controls in Traktor. (setup => midi, scroll down until you find "Deck scratch" for deck A and deck B, and click on each one) This way it works fine (maybe even smoother than with previous settings...)

Added: ok, i adjusted the sensitivity to lowest possible on both programs. i still have no control over the scratch rings. when spun they will jog forward and back in the song fairly fast (too fast for the amount of force i applied). i unchecked the 4 control mode as well. what does increments do? should i update my dm2 drivers? i'm going to update them now, just in case. Added more: Thank you for your help, by the way.

@ hyperlite Have you checked the acceleration? The lowest setting bar? It must be set to 0, full on the left. The only one box which must be checked is "Incremental" @ hobbit I was just explaining (in a very bad english, I know ) the setting of the different midi In and Out in the 3 softwares involved in this case. I don't really know how to explain this better... Maybe if a native english guy is there... If you use Traktor 2.6, you should better use the midiOx way. Check this site : www.newelement.org/eugene/dm2/then this one : www.nativeinstruments.de/traktor_forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=38865#post38865

thanks for the reply, i did end up going over to 2.6 (the resize window sold it for me) and eventually figured it out, will post my settings files soon as i've tweaked mine a touch. Out of curiousity is there a way to set bank/macro4 on the dm2 to use the jog wheels as pitch as i'm using the 1st bank/macro for scratch/scroll type function. regards Hobbit

Just off topic, if your using icecast and don't seem to be able to get anyone to connect to it; search for your stream in icecast dir.xiph.org/index.phpthen right click your .m3u file and save it somewhere, open that up in notepad and check the IP address is the same as yours. If not just alter it accordingly (took me a while to figure that out) regards

@ hyperlite Have you checked the acceleration? The lowest setting bar? It must be set to 0, full on the left. The only one box which must be checked is "Incremental" i did all of that and it keeps whipping forward and back when even slighly touched. although now i can control it back and forth, but i have no speed control.

Awesome, but is there one for those of us who're still using the previous version of Traktor? (2.5)
NM, got it, and figured out why it wasn't working. Had to set it to Midi Yoke 2. Its nice to be able to scratch without holding a button and be able to cut with the crossfader... but for some reason when I scratch it keeps edging backwards even when though I'm scratching in one place. I tried fiddling with every sensitivy setting, nothing seems to help.
