so i've tried VMware & XP mode (virtual pc) for windows 7 the latest versions and xp mode kept crashing on install of the driver. VMware installed the driver but no programs recognized it connected (dm2midi & mixman software) though the driver was installed and working. can we get an estimate on when this driver will be released?

Ima just have to run camstudio or something and show how to do it even though i cant think of anything special i may have done....
an i know what bsod you are all getting its legacy device fail to initilize drive. I have seen it a 1000 times so i am familiar with it. But it really is starting to seem like its either the type of laptops or what. Thats why i bought this toshiba cause i was able to get it working on a friend of mines so i was like Fk it.

So the XP Mode is always 32 bit to clarify, but if Win 7 hosting it is 64 bit I assume you mean it doesn't work. I tried on OEM x64 with XP Mode and cycles the VM on driver install. I have an old XP machine though so I guess I will dust it off .

sux it doesnt work on 64 bit yet even with VPC XP.. i just would hate to install 300 gigs twice on the same drive just to have a dual boot and everything working functionally being that i'm using 64bit plugins and fl studio extended mode. i'll just keep praying for a 64 bit version of this... *patiently waits* v.v

i just read the update proto. thanx for your hard work b. wish i knew how to fux wit this so i could help you out so i'll just pray for you man since i dont know programming. God speed and good lookin yo..
i just installed 64 bit of XP as a dual boot and it doesnt work obviously lol kills the purpose of me getting this system since i cant use FL studio with my 64-bit plugins and full ram potential since i have to resort to 32 bit to use the DM2. Cant wait for your driver release for 64-bit! and to see whats coming of Mixman 2011 as they have on their page. i'm crazy curious
My specs: AMD Phenom II X6 1100T 3.31, 16 GB DDR3 Ram, 64 GB SSD, 2 1-TB Sata, Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate, ATI Radeon 5770

FOR THE MORONS OUT THERE ! UNLESS YOU HAVE WINDOWS 7 PREMIUM, WHICH CAN GO INTO WINDOWS VIRTUAL MODE SO YOU CAN RUN YOUR OLD PROGRAMS 32-BIT, YOU WONT BE ABLE TO USE THE DM2. I AM STRUGGLING MYSELF WITH TIPS AND TECHNIQUES TO GET THIS DARN THING WORKING . I JUST TRIED TO INSTALL XP ON A USB FLASH STICK , THAT SOMEHOW CURROPTED MY COMPUTER .. I ALSO HAD VISTA ON IT ..NOW IT WON'T LET ME RESTORE .. SO I AM USING SOME WINDOWS 7 HOME EDITION GATEWAY RESTORE CDS TO HOPEFULLY GET MY HP COMPUTER BACK UP AND RUNNING .... DM2 BLOWS thingy FOR NOT COMING OUT WITH NEW DRIVERS FOR THE VISTA AND WINDOWS 7 OPERATING SYSTEM. OR SOME NEW DRIVER UPGRADES THAT WOULD ALLOW IT TOO RUN ON A 64 BIT SYSTEM. NOT EVERYONE WANTS TO BE STUCK IN THE STONE AGE DM2
GOSH

NOT EVERYONE WANTS TO BE STUCK IN THE STONE AGE DM2 GOSH that really sucks and i feel for you. Some suggestions depending on the hp or well just since its a hp which is um im not gonna say cheap but they use sub standard equipment real low end stuff, and they use altered bios's which degrade the equipments features and alot of hps dont have usb booting even though the bios offers the features. ok so what to do about that right. what i do recommend and its pretty easy really simple actually. um goto www.ubuntu.com/download/ubuntu/downloadok then from there (id personally recommend downloading the music version. but you can just put the disc in the dvd drive or cd rom. It will boot linux from the disk. Now you can use wine or a dozen other programs to get virtual dj to work in linux or just use a free program such as mix or idk theres so many dj programs even the music player program that lets you do the track mixing and basic stuff is pretty cool in linux. and just put the disk in and say run linux from disk when it prompts you. I think you have to click a few nexts and wha tnot but the download link tells you how to try it from a cd. this is actually really cool stuff to do when you have a work pc that has limited internet or monitoring software allows you to log on sites like dmtwo.tk or your ftp to write code. if you have any questions let me know. Also in linux the asio driver isnt like stacked and stuff and it frees up alot of processing power and latency is greatly reduced overall. im actually considering going 100% linux on all my portables since i can run 32 bit or 64 bit application in the O/S there is no real 64 bit 32 bit kinda deal. cause you can build the kernal. I mean oh and its free so no need for license keys or any of that bs. idk why we all havent made the switch and dropped the windows like a bad habbit
